Galvanized Exterior & Polyethylene
Coated Interior Composite Steel Pipe for Water Supply
Product Introduction:
The galvanized steel pipe with an inner polyethylene coating for water supply uses a hot-dip galvanized pipe as its base. The inner wall is coated with polyethylene powder that has been approved by the Ministry of Health for hygiene and safety in drinking water applications. This pipe is specifically designed for the transportation of domestic drinking water.
Product Features:
- Strong Corrosion Resistance: The outer galvanized layer effectively protects the pipe from external corrosion. The inner polyethylene coating offers excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, oils, and abrasives. It can withstand erosion from caustic substances, oxidants, hydrogen sulfide, and other chemical agents commonly found in water systems, significantly extending the service life of the pipeline.
- High Mechanical Strength: Using galvanized steel as the base provides the composite pipe with strong rigidity and impact resistance. It resists deformation and damage when subjected to external forces.
- Excellent Hygiene Performance: The inner polyethylene coating is made from food-grade materials that are non-toxic, odorless, and compliant with national hygiene standards. It ensures the transported water remains uncontaminated, making it ideal for conveying drinking water.
- Low Friction Resistance: The smooth inner surface of the polyethylene coating reduces water flow resistance, increases flow rate, and lowers energy consumption during transportation. Additionally, it resists scaling and microbial growth, reducing maintenance efforts.
Product Applications:
- Building Water Supply and Drainage: Widely used in indoor and outdoor water supply networks for various buildings, such as residential communities, office buildings, shopping malls, and schools—providing reliable daily water for people.
- Municipal Water Supply: Suitable for urban water distribution pipelines, connecting water sources with treatment plants, and treatment plants with urban networks—ensuring safe and stable city water supply.
- Industrial Water Supply: Applicable in transporting industrial cooling water, circulation water, and process water—meeting the industrial sector’s high demands for corrosion resistance and pipe strength.
