Its outer layer consists of a three-layer polyethylene (3PE) structure, and the inner layer is coated with epoxy resin. The base pipe can be straight seam welded, seamless, or spiral welded steel pipe. The 3PE structure typically includes an inner epoxy powder coating, a middle adhesive layer, and an outer polyethylene layer. This design gives the pipeline excellent anti-corrosion and mechanical protection on the outside, along with superior internal corrosion resistance and hygienic performance provided by the epoxy resin.
